Getting still to pay attention to what's going on inside of ourselves can help us uncover the patterns that keep us stuck.
Yesterday morning, my 11-year-old Yorkie-Poo, Pebbles, deposited an offering of a baby bunny at our back door. I was sad to think that this still-warm little one's "Freeze" instinct- combined with Pebbles' "Get the rat" instinct- is what ended this bunny's life so soon. The human instinct, too, defaults to fear and freezing, fight and flight when we're stressed. We see it everywhere around the world these days. So what can we do?
We can begin with ourselves. Often when we're feeling stressed, we feel stuck or frozen and don't know what to do. That's when it's most important to consciously get quiet and still, breathe deeper, name and feel our thoughts and feelings, and dig in and inquire deeply to find what we need to move forward.
Easter is nearly here, and it's the time of year where everything's beginning to come to life and bloom. Please remember to take time each day to get still so you can live more vibrantly. Last post I mentioned listening to the birds singing, and today I've got a little bunny, so, Happy Spring! Flowers are sure to follow soon.
