Create a Beautiful Day

 


When we greet each day with a cheerful heart, we can begin to create a beautiful day. When I wake in the morning, I spend a few minutes looking quietly inward, feeling grateful for this day and feeling light and love upon and within my being. This helps me start the day with presence and positivity, which I try to bring into all I do. 

Thich Nhat Hanh, the late renowned Buddhist monk who inspired so many, wrote this as the opening to his book, Peace is Every Step: "Every morning, when we wake up, we have twenty-four brand-new hours to live. What a precious gift! We have the capacity to live in a way that these twenty-four hours will bring peace, joy, and happiness to ourselves and others."

Try staying mindful of your thoughts and feelings first thing each morning and create your own way of mindfully greeting the day. Try moving with deep presence, seeing the beauty around you and making the best of all that comes in each moment 
See how the habit of creating beautiful days turns into living a beautiful life.
