Enjoy What You Have While You Have It

We're down to the last of this season's garden tomatoes, which is always a bit sorrowful. I can be satisfied knowing I enjoyed their juiciness for the last few months while I had them, or I can feel disappointed wishing for what I can't have till next season.

So too, in our interconnected, fast-paced world, it's sometimes difficult to be satisfied with what we have and where we're at. It's easy to compare ourselves to other creatives who may be far more successful than we are, or to regret the passing of opportunities and the need to move on to new creative endeavors.

Wherever you're at, try noticing and enjoying what you have while you have it. Try noticing and enjoying while you're creating. And try being satisfied that you've enjoyed the process, even at times if you're disappointed with results. Let the satisfaction that you are a creative person and that you're creating drive you to create some more, and let that satisfaction lead you to more creative success.
